They are a set of rules aimed at improving the performance of the organization, by improving internal relations, service quality, customer satisfaction, environmental protection and occupational safety.

ISO 9001 is the international standard for implementing a quality management system based on processes, which guides the organization to customer satisfaction and introduces continuous improvement.

UNE 158000 includes a series of standards for the certification of care services designed to improve the quality of life of dependent people. The rules of the UNE 158000 family establish the requirements on the aspects of the facilities, equipment, service provision, information and communication of users, contracting of services, protocols for hygienic-sanitary and psychosocial care, human resources and quality management.

It is a family of rules that serve as guidelines for managing services to promote personal autonomy, both for public and private institutions, helping organizations to achieve excellence in these services by applying principles such as competence, participation, ethics, integrity, individuality, specialization, independence and well-being. These standards are integrated in the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Standard.

  1. The consultant of Geriatric Consulting detects and analyses the organisation of the company in all its departments, transmitting at the same time a practical vision of the ISO 9001: 2015 and/or UNE 15800 standards that the client needs for an adequate implementation of them.

Although it depends on the size of the company and its status, it can be said that on average, Geriatric Consulting can accompany your company between four and six months. It is developed in half-day sessions according to a fixed calendar and with a period of visits of approximately 1 and/or 2 visits per month by Geriatric Consulting.

  • A methodical and independent review that is carried out to determine whether activities and results in terms of quality satisfy the provisions set out above and to check that these provisions are being carried out effectively and are suitable for achieving the objectives set.
  • It is the last step before certification by the certifying companies.
  • The main objectives of the management system audits are
    – To check the adequacy of the elements of the quality management system with the requirements specified in the reference standard.
    – To verify the compliance of the system.
    – To provide information for the continuous improvement of the quality management system.

The Certification Entities are those private organizations, whose function is to evaluate the conformity and certify the compliance of a reference standard, either of the product, of the service or of the management system of an organization.

In particular, they are responsible for auditing organizations interested in obtaining certification of their quality management system, according to ISO 9001, their environmental management system, according to ISO 14001, etc.

The Certification entities are in turn evaluated by National Accreditation Entities, in order to have a recognition of their capacity to perform their function as conformity assessment body (ENAC- Spain).
